The Union Rescue Mission on Skid Row has been a beacon of hope in Los Angeles for over a century — and their annual Charity 5K Run brings the whole city together to support men, women, and children experiencing homelessness. The Lime Truck is honored to cater this meaningful event and others like it across Southern California. As two-time Food Network Great Food Truck Race champions now in our 16th year, we know how to serve a finish-line crowd: fast, fresh, and with heart. Our self-contained truck rolls right into the event space with everything we need — no kitchen, no cords, no complications. We serve runners, volunteers, donors, and families with Cali-Mex made with zero seed oils, because everyone deserves clean fuel after putting in the miles for a cause.
Post-Race & Finish-Line Service
The finish line is where the real celebration happens — and hungry runners don't want to wait. The Lime Truck is built for high-volume, high-speed service. Dual service windows, prepped proteins, and an experienced crew keep the line moving even when hundreds of finishers converge at once. We coordinate with race directors to time our service around the first finishers, the bulk of the pack, and the final walkers so nobody goes home hungry. Our menu is designed for post-run appetites: satisfying, handheld, and easy to eat while stretching, swapping race stories, or cheering on the final participants.
