Booking a Corporate Event Food Truck in Irvine

Booking a Corporate Event Food Truck in Irvine

If you're planning a corporate event and want a food truck in Irvine, you're in our backyard. The Lime Truck started in Irvine in 2010, and our kitchen, team, and trucks are still based here. That makes Irvine office lunches, all-hands meetings, and company parties some of the easiest events we do.

This guide covers what Irvine teams usually book, how far ahead to plan, and what we need from you and your building.

Why Irvine offices book a truck

Irvine has a lot of office parks and tech campuses, and they tend to share the same problem: lunch gets boring. A catered tray of sandwiches feeds people. A truck pulling into the lot gets people out of their chairs.

A few things that make a truck work well for corporate events:

  • It's cooked to order. Food comes off the truck hot, not from a tray that's been sitting since 11.
  • Mixed dietary needs are easy. Vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options are on every menu, and people order for themselves.
  • It's fast. One of our corporate clients told us we fed over 50 people quicker than any food truck they'd used before.
  • It gets people talking. Folks from different teams end up standing in the same line. That's half the point of a company event.

Common Irvine corporate bookings

Office lunches. Weekly, monthly, or a one-off thank-you for the team. These are usually a short service window around the lunch hour.

All-hands and quarterly meetings. A truck after the meeting gets people to stick around and actually talk.

Client appreciation and launches. Good food makes your company look good, and the truck makes for good photos.

Holiday parties. This is the big one right now. With November and December coming, Irvine companies are locking in dates for year-end parties. If yours is on the calendar, we'd send that request this week.

Breakfast meetings. Early kickoffs and morning trainings work too. We have a full breakfast catering menu.

What's included

Our corporate catering packages are fully customizable for teams of any size. They include two hours of on-site service, setup, and cleanup. Plates, utensils, and napkins are included, and we use compostable materials.

We also cook with zero seed oils, through our partnership with Zero Acre Farms. Health-conscious teams ask about this a lot.

How far ahead to book

From our corporate lunch booking guide, lead times scale with headcount:

  • Under 50 people: one to two weeks is comfortable.
  • 50 to 200 people: two to four weeks is ideal.
  • 200 or more: four to eight weeks, especially if you need a second truck or more service points.
  • Recurring programs: reach out anytime and we'll build a schedule around your calendar.

Being based in Irvine helps a lot with short notice. It isn't guaranteed, but local mid-week lunches are often possible faster than you'd think.

Our step-by-step post on how to book The Lime Truck for a corporate lunch goes deeper on the process.

What we need from you and your building

Office parks and campuses each have their own rules, so the more we know up front, the smoother the day goes.

  1. Full address and building details. Building name, suite, and which lot or loading area you have in mind.
  2. Your facilities contact. We coordinate truck access and placement with building management before the day.
  3. Headcount and service window. A 30-minute rush for 40 people is different from a staggered two-hour window for 200.
  4. Dietary breakdown. Roughly how many vegan, vegetarian, or gluten-free folks.
  5. Any building paperwork. Some properties want a certificate of insurance filed well in advance. We carry commercial insurance and can handle it, we just need the heads-up.

The truck itself needs a flat, level area about 30 feet long by 12 feet wide with roughly 14 feet of overhead clearance. We'll need a standard outlet or we'll run a quiet generator.

What the day looks like

We arrive well before your service window so setup is calm and the truck is ready before your team walks out. We cook on site, our staff keeps the line moving, and we leave the lot the way we found it. For bigger groups, we time things around your meeting schedule so people aren't standing around waiting.

No room for the truck? Try drop-off

Some Irvine buildings just don't have the space, or you want lunch in a conference room. Drop-off catering is available throughout Orange County. We deliver, set up, and let you take it from there. It's a good fit for boardroom meetings and smaller office gatherings.

Outside Irvine?

We cover the rest of Orange County too, including Newport Beach, Costa Mesa, Tustin, Santa Ana, Lake Forest, and Anaheim. Our Orange County catering page has the full rundown. We also have locations in Glendale and San Diego for teams with offices in LA or SD.

A few menu picks that work for offices

Our packages lean on tacos because they move fast. Popular choices for corporate lunches include the Rojo Chicken Taco, the Sweet and Spicy Steak Taco, the Trippy Mushroom Taco for plant-based eaters, and sides like Mexican Street Corn and Legendary Brussel Sprouts. Our catering packages page lists exactly what's in each package.

FAQ

Is The Lime Truck based in Irvine?

Yes. We were founded in Irvine in 2010, and our kitchen, team, and trucks are still based here.

How far ahead should we book a corporate food truck in Irvine?

One to two weeks for groups under 50, two to four weeks for 50 to 200 people, and four to eight weeks for 200 or more. Holiday party dates fill faster, so book those early.

Do you work with office parks and building management?

Yes. We coordinate with building management on truck access, parking, and placement before your event. Some properties need a certificate of insurance ahead of time, so loop in your facilities contact early.

Can you cater inside our office?

Can we set up a recurring lunch?

Yes. Weekly, biweekly, or monthly programs all work. We'll build a schedule around your calendar.
